10 ARAVTS100 WARRIORSONE FESTIVAL

Competitors from Mongolia and around the world unite in teams of ten, bringing speed, strength, precision and horsemanship to one festival.

A khuraldai is also a meeting of people and ideas. Inspired by ancestral remembrance and the fellowship of historic lakeside gatherings, this winter Naadam brings competition together with learning, ceremony and celebration.

The story & the aravt

BEFORE THE FESTIVAL

A gathering of knowledge

On lunar day 14, the declaration calls for a scholarly gathering to study and share ancestral history and cultural heritage.

FESTIVAL DAY

Ceremony & competition

The hunting horn and great drum call the gathering. Nayaa Noyon’s nine blue-maned standard is raised, and the aravts meet in the four trials.

CULTURE & CELEBRATION

Horse culture, airag & song

Saikhan and Orkhon share their horse and airag traditions. The festival anthem joins the celebration from the rising sun toward the evening moon.

The declaration also proposes a gathering of 20,000 horses and a 500-camel caravan from the Gobi. These are ambitions, not confirmed attendance or bookable services. Read the festival anthem
